Sedalia's two largest yearly events, the Missouri State Fair each August and the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in June, draw thousands of visitors to Sedalia. But throughout the year, there is always something going on in Sedalia.  The Missouri State Fairgrounds host livestock shows, a Gourd Festival, a Blues and Barbeque Festival, camping events, sporting events, horse and car races, truck pulls, and other exciting exhibitions throughout the year.  Community theatre and concert events at the Liberty Center Association for the Arts, State Fair Community College, and the Heckart Performing Arts Center and rotating exhibits at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art offer affordable ways to immerse your family in the arts.
