Truman is the largest flood control lake in Missouri (covers 56,000 acres) and has a national reputation for crappie and bass fishing. Nearby public use areas include Sparrow foot and Bucksaw, both of which include a boat launch, campground, beach, dock and playground. Bucksaw also has a marina.
