Twin Lakes Area
Warsaw sits directly on the Upper Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. This is the "Quiet End"! Don't expect the rat race you might find in other places. Truman Dam Reservoir is a water sports paradise. There is plenty of open water for your boating and skiing pleasure and beautiful sandy beaches to enjoy the summer sun!
Drake Harbor
Downtown Warsaw is an antique and specialty shopper’s delight. Located just off the downtown area of Warsaw, the harbor is a wonderful place to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. With public docks and boat launches, it is the perfect place to catch a fish or start your boating day on the Upper Arm of Lake of the Ozarks.
Swinging Bridge
Located on 7 highway on the east edge of town. The bridge spans the beautiful Osage River and irresistible for a leisurely walk across during your visit to Warsaw!
Harry S. Truman Dam, Reservoir, & Visitor's Center
The Visitor's center sits high up on Kaysinger Bluff overlooking the dam. The view from the huge glass front is nothing short of breathtaking! The center is also host to some of Benton County's richest history including replicas of ancient mastodon bones found in a dig South of Warsaw before the reservoir was filled.
Ed Elmore Cabin
It is located at the Harry S. Truman Visitor's center. Mr. Elmore worked for the Corp of Engineers and wanted to make sure that history was handed down for generations to come. Thus Heritage Days was born.
Benton County Museum
Located in the old school house on "School House Hill" you will find some of the County's most precious history. In the museum you will learn much about the history of the area. Old farming equipment, wearing apparel, and the old jail are among the displays. The Museum is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Hooper House
The house was moved from a farm that now is covered by Truman Lake. The Corp of Engineers reconstructed the home and it is now on display just below the Visitor's Center.
Shawnee Municipal Golf Course

Directions: Located at the junctions of Highways 7, 13, and 52. From Warsaw take Highway 7 West twenty-eight miles.
The locals boast of having the largest town square in Missouri, and the 4th largest in the United States. Around the square motorist park their cars on both sides and in the middle of the road. Clinton has been selected again as a start city for the ‘Tour of Missouri Bicycle Race’ in September, and it takes place on the town square.
Henry
County Museum and Cultural Arts Center, at 203 W. Franklin in the historic downtown square, provides glimpses of the city’s past. The museum complex includes a restored Anheuser-Busch distribution center, an adjacent annex with a village from the early 1900s and a dogtrot log house. This is not an ordinary museum!
Clinton Katy Depot - 200 S. Main, 660-885-8166
Built in 1870 as a station of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas rail line, the depot was moved to the square in 1979. The depot houses the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce office, a tourist information center and a small gift shop. Admission is free.
Truman Lake
Truman is the largest flood control lake in Missouri (covers 56,000 acres) and has a national reputation for crappie and bass fishing. Nearby public use areas include Sparrow foot and Bucksaw, both of which include a boat launch, campground, beach, dock and playground. Bucksaw also has a marina.
Cooper Creek Off-Road Vehicle Area south of town boasts 400 acres for dirt bikes, ATV's and dune buggies.

Northeast Area
Boonville

Begin
this journey by going east on highway 50 to highway 5. North on 5
nestled near Bunceton and just south of Boonville lies Ravenswood
a stately antebellum mansion built in 1880. This 2000 acre working
farm spans six generations, the home contains household china, glass,
paintings and antique furnishings that have accumulated over the past
100 years. Eleven miles north will take you to Boonville, Missouri,
a historic river town with over 400 structures listed on the National
Register of Historic Places, or try your hand at the Isle of Capri
Riverboat Casino. Leaving Booneville and heading east along the Missouri
river Les Bourgeois Vineyards, Rocheport, Missouri would make a great
place to stretch your legs and take in some of Missouri's Wine country.
This northeast area is also home to two theatres, Missouri Lyceum
Theatre, Arrowrock,
Missouri, and West End Theatre, Blackwater, Missouri.

Located
20 miles west of Sedalia nestled in the heart of Johnson County is
Whiteman Air Force Base, home of the B-2 Stealth Bomber. Just a short
five minute drive further west located atop the bluff in Montserrat

Located just 30 minutes west of Sedalia, Warrensburg, Missouri greets visitors, with a great mix
of old and new. Warrensburg is home to the University of Central Missouri and the historic Johnson County Courthouse and Museum, famous for the "Old Drum" Trial of 1870. The downtown area has beautiful architecture - including the 1890s train depot - as well as unique shops and wonderful eateries. Just west of downtown is Blind Boone Park, a lovingly restored park that's perfect for family picnics.
The Warrensburg community also hosts a variety of events each year, including the Annual Spring Fine Arts Show, the Johnson County Fair and Johnson County Rodeo, a Freedom Festival, The UCM Homecoming parade, Scottish Highland Games, Earth Day, racing events and car shows, the UCM Performing Arts Series, Boys State and Girls State, and the nationally-attended Children's Literature Festival.

Southeast Area
Versailles

Directions: South of Sedalia on Highway 65 seventeen miles then East on MO-52 four miles.
Cole Camp is located along what was once known as The Military Road. It was the site of one of the first battles of the Civil War. The town has a strong German heritage that is still celebrated today with German festivals and heritage events year round.
Cole Camp Museum
All exhibits contain artifacts from the area showing its growth and development. It provides a walk through history beginning with the earth history of the area and leading to a large display of Indian artifacts from the tribes that inhabited the area before the coming of the white man.
Eichenberg Winery
Stop by the winery in beautiful downtown Cole Camp, sit in the gardens, or under the shelter, enjoy wines along with a snack tray, then take a stroll and discover the joys of a small town. Several gift shops and antique shops dot the area within walking distance.
Triple Creek Golf Course
Triple Creek (660-668-3700) is a new and unique 9-hole golf course with 18 different tee boxes, opening Spring 2009, if you are a golfer, you must play this one!
Versailles
South
of Stover overlooking the Lake of the Ozarks is Buffalo
Creek Vineyard. Versailles (pronounced "Ver-sails")
in mid-Missouri no matter how many French Settlers is home to the
lovely Morgan County Courthouse and Museum. Missouri is also known
as the "cave state" and that is what you will find Jacob's
Cave located just 10 miles south of Versailles.
Tipton
located at Hwy. 5 & 52 is home to the Maclay House built in 1858
as a young ladies seminary it still contains original furnishings
as well as the Price James Library and Museum located just south of
city hall.
