DESCRIPTION:A day full of patriotic activities begins with a downtown parade and ends with fireworks at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.The parade begins at 10 a.m. This year’s theme is America’s Superheroes! Prizes given for floats as Most Patriotic\, Original and Creative. Free to enter at the Parks’ office or by calling 660-826-4930. The day continues with hotdogs at the Picnic in the Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Centennial Park. Bounce houses and live music to enjoy. Wind down the day with fireworks in front of the grandstands on the fairgrounds. Fireworks display begins about 9:30 p.m. All of this is free!
