Plan a Ragtime Festival Tour in June

Each June, Sedalia honors Scott Joplin’s contributions to the rich local history with numerous outdoor venues, featuring concerts, dance lessons, and a musical symposia.  Each day of the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival offers free concerts under tents, on street corners, and in the parks.  Ticketed concerts are held in climate-controlled indoor music halls.

Otterville’s Bluff Tour

Visit the site that on July 7, 1876, Frank and Jesse James, Cole, Jim, and Bob Younger and the gang robbed the Missouri Pacific train at the “Rocky Cut” near Otterville, Missouri.  Also see the still visible Civil War bunkers nearby.
