Parent Meeting in preparation for ‘Matilda’ auditions

Announcing our summer Junior Theatre programming!
SUMMER MUSICAL: Roald Dahl’s Matilda Jr. The Musical!
The production is for students aged 9-18.
Important dates:
Parent meetings: May 2 at 6:30 OR May 7 at 11:00.
Parents/guardians/responsible adult MUST attend one of these meetings for their student to participate in the program. You will receive the audition packet and information packet and meet the production team. You will also sign up for an audition slot.
Auditions: May 11 and 12, 6-8:30, callbacks on May 13
You will sign up for an audition slot during the parent meetings.
Performance dates: June 24 and 25 at 7:30 and June 26 at 2:00
Strike: June 26 after the performance
Fees: $125 for actors and $80 for crew
Fees are due at auditions. If your student is not cast or declines the offered role, fees will be returned. Fee includes one (1) complimentary ticket, one t-shirt and one script.
We will have a “minis” program for students 3-8 during this production.
PLAY IN A WEEK:
Students will write, direct, rehearse and perform an original script in ONE WEEK. Students may opt to participate in only one aspect (writing team OR actor) or multiple aspects!
Dates: July 29-August 6
Parent meeting: TBA but will be earlier than normal to account for the time sensitive nature of this production.
Fees: $50 per student. Includes 1 complimentary ticket and 1 t-shirt. (will probably also include some snacks and coffee)
We are currently seeking students who are interested in the director and head writer positions.
