🎅 All Aboard for Santa on the Train!
The Sedalia Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sedalia Main Streets are excited to announce the return of Santa on the Train on Saturday, December 13, 2025!
This annual favorite gives children a magical opportunity to visit with Santa while riding Amtrak’s Missouri River Runner — this is a special event on the regularly scheduled train route between Warrensburg and Sedalia.
🚂 How it Works:
Passengers provide their own transportation to Warrensburg’s train station (100 S. Holden Street) to board the Amtrak at 9:57 a.m. Santa will already be on board to greet riders and spread holiday cheer during the short, festive trip to Sedalia, arriving around 10:27 a.m.
🎟️ Tickets:
Seats may be purchased directly through Amtrak at regular prices anytime, but the special discounted event pricing will only be available beginning Wednesday, November 26 until all available tickets are sold out — and these discounted tickets always sell out very quickly! Watch the facebook page for the ticket link to be posted.

🍪 After the Ride:
Can’t make the train ride this year or didn’t snag a ticket? No worries! Santa will visit with children after the train arrives in Sedalia around 10:27 a.m. Be sure to stop by Lamy’s for the Cookie & Grinch Punch Reception inside the lobby — a sweet ending to a festive morning!
