Third Thursday Class – Nuno Felted Scarf

Vicki Weaver is bringing felting back to the studio with Nuno felted scarves. The Nuno felted scarf is a featherweight creation with a totally unique surface design. In this three hour make and take we will use this wet felting technique where wool fibers migrate through silk fabric and entangle. The wool eventually shrinks, pulling the fabric along with it,the result is an incredibly lightweight garment that drapes beautifully to create a lovely, textured scarf.

This workshop is designed for beginners and requires gentle, repetitive, upper arm movement. Participants are encouraged to bring their personal assortment of fabric bits, yarn, and/or thread remnants to embellish their piece. All supplies are provided but we do ask participants bring a small towel for drying their finished scarf. Cost is $25 per person. Space is limited!
