Two Homes…One History

An open house at two Sedalia historic homes will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. The Queen Ann style home at 501 West Broadway was built in 1891 for John and Lillian Heard. This is an example of an historic home that is thoroughly modernized for comfortable living. The 1906 Classical Revival home at 200 West Broadway was entrusted by Lillian Heard in 1935 to Sorosis and Helen G. Steele Music Club. This club house which is used for educational and charitable purposes remains close to the same design as when it was built. It contains many of the original Heard furnishings.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 at Moore’s Greenhouse and Flower Shop located at 3311 Green Ridge Road in Sedalia, at the Sedalia Katy Depot located at 600 East Third Street in Sedalia or by calling 660.287.3991. Tickets on November 20 will be $20 at the door of either home.
