Bombers Baseball

The MINK League is composed of teams from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. It is a summer Collegiate Baseball league operating 10 teams throughout the Midwest. The League provides a venue for college players who wish to develop their skills to enter the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

Paul Klover Soccer League

Paul Klover Soccer League offers leagues for boys and girls, ages 4 -18, in both recreational and competitive environments. The recreational (fall) season is played from mid-August through October. Competitive leagues are formed in both the fall and the spring. In addition, an indoor Futsal league is held at the Boys and Girls Club during January, February and March. The indoor season also offers leagues for men and women.

Racing enthusiasts can enjoy racing on the half-mile dirt track at State Fair Speedway on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The series features 360 Sprint cars, late-models, and a-modifieds.

Boonslick Regional Library

Boonslick Regional Library

Boonslick Regional Library provides public library services to the citizens of three counties: Benton County, Cooper County and Pettis County (excluding the City of Sedalia). The Pettis County facility, located in Sedalia, is the largest library and serves as the administrative headquarters for the library system. The administrative headquarters includes the following services: bookmobile, reference and interlibrary loan, technical processing and computer/network services for the library district. Other libraries in the system are the Benton County libraries located in Cole Camp and Warsaw; and the Cooper County library located in Boonville. The Boonslick Regional Library Bookmobile provides a vital outreach service to residents residing in rural areas of each county in the library district.

Daum Museum of Contemporary Art

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 2002 on the campus of State Fair Community College. The art collections and publications of the Daum shed light on the stimulating complexity of contemporary art. The museum exhibits selections from the permanent collection including paintings, drawings, prints, works in clay, and sculpture created since the mid-20th century. Featured artists include Andy Warhol, Dale Chihuly, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Motherwell, Peter Voulkos, Louise Bourgeois, and Betty Woodman. Pettis County Courthouse

Built in 1896 to as a fully functional railroad station, today the Katy Depot serves as Sedalia's official welcome center and is currently occupied by the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, Sedalia Convention and Visitors Bureau, the railroad heritage exhibits, The Depot Store, and serves as a Trailhead to the Katy Trail State Park. Champion Bicycles is located in the Katy Depot in Sedalia, Missouri on the Katy Trail. The bicycle shop offers rentals, repair and service on all makes and brands, a full line of parts and accessories. Also, drinks and snacks are available. Katy Trail State Park. Heckart Performing Arts Center

The Heckart Performing Arts Center is located on the north end of Smith-Cotton High School.  Construction of the center began in 2007 and was completed in February 2010.  Construction was made possible by an extremely generous donation from the Heckart Family Foundation.  The center seats 732 people with 8 additional wheel chair spots. It features state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

Stauffacher Center for Fine Arts

Stauffacher Center for Fine Arts

The Stauffacher Center for Fine Arts on the State Fair Community College (SFCC) campus features an artist and lecturer series in the Goddard Gallery and several theater and musical productions throughout the year in the Stauffacher Theatre. SFCC’s Stauffacher Theatre is a proscenium arch theatre with 24 fly lines, computerized lighting, a versatile acoustic system, fully-equipped scene shop, large modern dressing rooms, and a makeup area and costume shop. It seats 239 for an exceptional audience experience. The Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre focuses on intimate performances and allows for stage and seating configurations to change into venues such as theatre in the round, corner seating or arena seating for 80 to 90.
