OATS Transit provides safe, affordable, and accessible public transportation in Pettis County, and is available to anyone regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion, or national origin. Services include:

• Sedalia City Bus (Deviated Fixed Route) – Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. $1.50 each way. Riders can ask to be picked up and dropped off up to 3/4 of a mile off the route, at the curb, with a reservation at least one day ahead.
• Sedalia City Service – Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. $2.50 each way. Includes the Workshop and the Sedalia-to-Dresden (Tyson) run, Monday–Friday.
• Sedalia Senior Center – Tuesday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Monday and Friday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., for medical and business trips.
• Service to Columbia – 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
• Express to the Kansas City area – 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
• County service to Sedalia – First four Thursdays of each month.
• Demand-response service – Available by reservation for riders who need an off-route pickup. $2.50 each way.

Fares on the Senior Center and area-wide buses are $2.50 one way in town and $5.00 for county service. Riders age 60 and older and riders with disabilities traveling under the Area Agency on Aging contract are asked to contribute a minimum amount rather than pay a set fare. Drivers do not accept payment on the bus — riders add money to an account ahead of time, with a $10.00 minimum, and each fare is withdrawn as they ride.
